The annual Singapore Shorts showcase organised by Asian Film Archive is back after last year’s break. The programme celebrates the most promising local short films in Singapore and aims to feature a diverse range of new cinematic works chosen by an esteemed selection panel. There will also be online discussions with the filmmakers, critical writings, and a special guest curated programme. Screenings will be held at the Oldham Theatre in August 2021.

Films must be made by a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, and films made by non-Singaporeans must be shot exclusively in Singapore. The maximum duration is 30 minutes including opening title and ending credits. All films must be produced between 2019 and 2021.
