Local Arts Organisation T:>Works Launches Hybrid Theatrical Experience ‘How To Break A Window’1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteFormally known as TheatreWorks, T:>Works will be re-opening its doors with hybrid theatrical experience How To Break A Window running from 16 – 19 December. The programme follows the organisation’s investigation into the creation of digital performance and transmedia storytelling in the current era of disruption.
Helmed and conceptualised by Noorlinah Mohamed, the programme will feature digital productions, live staged readings, a hybrid performance which is both live and digitalized, as well as conversations with a group of up-and-coming playwrights exploring transmedia storytelling.
Throughout the programme’s four nights, T:>Works will look to engage both live and digital audiences. Following the programme’s run, the productions will be uploaded onto a watch-on-demand platform as a film experience.
Onboard the programme are:
– Jasmine Ng – co-founder and current president of Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals and involved in various local productions such as Eating Air and SHIRKERS.
– Kaylene Tan – renowned transmedia director whose headphone theatre production of In the Silence of Your Heart (Esplanade Studios) won Best Sound Design at the 2018 Life! Theatre Awards.
– Casey Lim – prolific theatre practitioner (co-founder & executive director of Centre 42, co-founder of Checkpoint Theatre) who works across sound and video
