Reading Time: < 1 minuteMalaysian film director Sam Quah Boon Lip’s Sheep Without A Shepherd is now the 10th top-grossing domestic film of 2019 in China, and still going strong at CNY1.17bil (RM690mil).
The box office takings for Quah’s mystery thriller surpassed the billion yuan mark recently, making him the first Malaysian filmmaker to reach that landmark.
The 112-minute mainland Chinese release is the feature film directorial debut of the 34-year-old filmmaker who hails from Penang.
