‘Ip Man 4’ Top-Grossing Chinese-Language Film in Malaysia1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteMartial arts biopic Ip Man 4: The Finale has broken box-office records in Malaysia, becoming the highest-grossing Chinese film in the country’s history.
According to a news report last Friday, Ip Man 4 garnered total ticket sales of RM30.3 million in just 13 days. During the same period, it grossed US$97.6 million (RM396.3 million) in China and continues to rule its box office.
Starring Donnie Yen as the title character, Ip Man 4 directed by Wilson Yip is about the Wing Chun grandmaster who famously trained action hero Bruce Lee.
The final film in the Ip Man film series, it sees the grandmaster travel to San Francisco, the United States in the 1960s to look for a school for his son.
