Filipino Filmmakers Bag $15,000 Grant from Southeast Asia Film Lab1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteFilipino director Petersen Vargas’ sophomore feature film bagged the grand prize for the third Southeast Asian Fiction Film Lab (SEAFIC) in a ceremony held in Bangkok on Monday.
Currently in the pre-production stage, Vargas’ second feature tentatively titled “Some Nights I Feel Like Walking” will receive a $15,000 (P768,000) cash grant from SEAFIC. The film is co-produced by Jade Castro and Alemberg Ang.
“My second film aims at being a portrait of a nation (and of a city, homeland, people) as seen through its outskirts and shadows,” Vargas had earlier said.
