‘Nezha’ Breaks Chinese Box Office Records for Animated Films With $91 Million Opening1 min read

The amount also made it the second-highest-grossing film of any kind in the world over the weekend, trailing only “The Lion King,” though it will quickly overtake the Disney title in China.
An animated version of a classic Chinese tale, “Nezha” took in $8.8 million from previews over the previous weekend before getting its official outing last Friday. Its cumulative total at the end of its first official weekend is $103 million, according to data from consultancy Artisan Gateway.
