NEWS: ‘Gone Girl’ and ‘300’ Production Designer Sue Chan Recruited for Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi’1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIt seems like development on Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi project is silently underway behind-the-scenes as the team is in the process of hiring for its upcoming production. Though there are not much details available, a recently released listing on Production Weekly suggests the studio has found its Production Designer for the movie.
According to Production Weekly, Marvel Studios has brought on Sue Chan to start working on the project. For those unaware, Chan worked on Anne Hathway’s Kaiju film Colossal. In addition to that, she’s also been involved in other prominent projects such as Gone Girl and 300: Rise of an Empire.
Marvel Studios hasn’t officially confirmed the news and it looks like fans’ shouldn’t be expecting that to happen anytime soon as well.
In another interview, Feige was asked about the risk factor surrounding over establishing its first Asian-led superhero film under the MCU.
“I think every movie that we do is a risk. We only want to do movies that people seem to think are risks. Doing the story of an Asian-American hero of Chinese heritage is something that is very intriguing to us. It will be really different and special.”
