NEWS: Get Up to US$30K for Your Project from the ScreenCraft Film Fund1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIf you have a script, an idea, or a passion to bring your film to life, then this is one opportunity you shouldn’t pass up.
Do you have a screenplay that you want to produce but don’t have a way to fund it? Are you ready to head into production on your film but need a little extra financing to get there? Well, you’re in luck because ScreenCraft has announced that it is officially accepting applications to its highly successful grant program. Backed by media financier BondIt, the ScreenCraft Film Fund offers up to US$30,000 twice annually for the production and post-production of up to four creative projects, be they short, feature, or documentary films, or even TV pilots.
Perhaps the greatest thing that ScreenCraft and BondIt have to offer isn’t necessarily the money—I mean—the money is incredible and extremely necessary (and also the whole point), but the key to this program is its focus on mentorship through the production process.
In the past, ScreenCraft has enlisted the help of mentors such as Alice Kharoubi, head of the short films corner at the Cannes Film Festival, and Ira Sachs, Sundance and Berlin award-winning filmmaker. This year, producer Jordan Yale Levine, Producers Guild of America member and one of Variety’s 10 Producers to Watch in 2016, will be there to provide winners with his unique industry expertise.
