The Festival explores and connects the film markets in 10 cities around the world, such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and for the first time in Singapore for its 2016 edition. Filmmakers from all walks of life, of any professions are welcomed to submit their films and scripts, which are not limited to any lengths or genres, to the Festival. They will be judged based on individual merits rather than profession or age categories. Aside from showcasing their works, submitters will also receive exclusive materials from the Festival which aim to guide them on the marketing of their films.
A Best Narrative, Best Documentary will be given to the winner of each category, while Script winners will be awarded during the Lift-Off Season Awards Show. Winning films will also be screened to audience in the other 9 cities where Lift-Off is present.
Submission is now open, with the fee of 22 to 45USD depending on the various deadlines. The earliest approaching deadline is November 3, 2015, while the latest Decision deadline is October 17, 2016.
