Call for entries: TOKYO ANIME AWARD FESTIVAL 20161 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2016 (TAAF2016) is co-organised by the Tokyo Anime Award Festival Executive Committee and the Association of Japanese Animations in cooperation with various companies, organisations and individuals who support the purpose of the festival. The festival seeks to showcase excellent original animation works which bring across meaningful and inspiring messages to the audience as well as the stakeholders in the industry.
The 2016 edition of the festival take place from March 18th till 21st, 2016. Filmmakers from all countries are welcomed to submit their animation films which are produced after January 1st, 2014 and have the maximum length of 30 minutes.
Films shortlisted for Final Selection will be publicly screened during the festival, while the directors or producers of those films will be invited to Japan for the screenings with 3-night accommodation fee covered. The Jury will select two winning films for the following prizes: TAAF2016 International Short Animation Grand Prize (500,000yen) and TAAF2016 Best International Short Animation Film.
Submission is free and should be done before 31st October, 2015.
