DAKboard is a Customizable Wall Display for Photos, Calendar Events, and Weather1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThis week, software developer and photographer Dan King introduced the world to the DAKboard: a customisable display for showcasing your photographs, calendar events, and weather. The actual wall display isn’t currently available for purchase, but the software is in the beta stage, so anyone can test it out via their web browser or tablet device.
Developed as an “always on, zero maintenance, ever-changing display”, the DAKboard can display collections of relevant information including your local weather and details of your personal calendar from Google or iCloud. Once you are done setting up your information, choose your favourite photograph to create a beautifully vivid center-piece for the room.
DAKboard can integrate with sites such as Flickr and 500px; pulling in the latest photos from the community or your favourite albums. The display can rotate throughout photographs at set intervals, or you can upload a percent photo to keep on display. Best of all, everything is done through the software’s web interface, so there is no need to fiddle with memory cards.
