Currently in its fifth year, Kaohsiung International Short Film Competition is now calling for entries!

All films no longer than 25 minutes may be submitted to this competition regardless of genre, and will compete for the highest award ““ Kaohsiung Award (with 10,000 USD Prize).

Other than the Kaohsiung Award, there are other awards which include:

• Fantasy-Fireball Award (5,000 USD prize), specially for fantasy shorts from all over the world.
• Green S.O.S Award (5,000 USD prize), for shorts that address humanity and environmental issues.
• Taiwan Award (5,000 USD prize), for shorts with applicants who are of Taiwanese national or shorts that are produced by a Taiwanese company.
• Animation Award (5,000 USD prize), specially for animations.

All nominated shorts will be screened exclusively on Kaohsiung Film Festival’s online platform. The creators of the nominated short films will each receive a 100 USD screening fee.

Submissions close on June 15 2015.
