Reading Time: < 1 minuteMovie Makers Short Film Competition (我è¦å½“导演) is a competition launched by mm2 Entertainment Pte. Ltd, together with FOX International Channel‘s (FIC) flagship Chinese movie channel, SCM. (衛視電影å°) This competition aims to develop new talent in the local film industry by providing aspiring directors with opportunities to showcase their potential.
The panel for the competition comprises of acclaimed film practitioners across different countries: Singaporean directors Jack Neo (Ah Boys to Men series) and Eric Khoo (My Magic), Malaysian director Chiu Keng Guan (The Journey), Taiwanese director Raymond Jiang (Café. Waiting. Love) and Hong Kong award-winning actor-producer Gordon Lam (Gallants).
An attractive bundle of cash prizes as well as Canon EOS Cinema products will be awarded to the top 3 films. The winning films will also be broadcasted
on FIC’s premium Chinese movie channel, SCM.
One of the winners will be given the opportunity to direct a feature film with mm2 Entertainment.
This competition is open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who are above 18 years of age as of 1 June 2015. Submissions start on 1 June 2015, Monday and ends on 31 July 2015, Friday.
Each short film entry must be solely produced for Movie Makers Short Film Competition (我è¦å½“导演), and the film duration must be under 10 minutes.
Ten finalists will be selected for the Awards Night in early September 2015, which will culminate in the announcement of the top 3 films.
