MDA approves screening of 6 Malaysian films1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteSingapore’s official censor, Media Development Authority (MDA), has approved and rated all six films submitted for Singaporeans For Democracy’s (SFD) annual human rights event ““ Freedom Film Fest.
Three films were rated M18 (Mature 18) and another three NC16 (No children under 16). The event will be held at 7pm on Oct 28, at The Substation.
The Freedom Film Fest was initiated by the Malaysian non-governmental organisation, Pusat Komas, as a means to educate the public on the value of human rights.
In a statement, SFD executive director James Gomez said due to “our shared political and cultural history with Malaysia, SFD will host the Singapore leg of the festival again for the second year running.
