Film festival to be extended1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteWe refer to Dr Robin Chee’s letter “A disappointing performance” (Sept 22), regarding the disrupted and postponed film screenings, and apologise for the inconvenience caused to him, his friends and all ticket holders, especially those who had travelled to Singapore to catch the films.
We regret there have been so many disruptions and delays during this film fest and are doing our best to address these issues.
We admit this has been a mistake on our part, due to several factors; amongst which, manpower shortage and funding issues played a key part.
We have decided to extend the festival by three days, till Sept 28, to screen the postponed films and to re-screen the disrupted ones, including Forbidden Door and Pink Saris. We are in the final stages of confirming the screening dates and times and will update theatre-goers soon.
In addition, we hope to re-screen the more popular sold-out films, such as Page one: Inside the New York Times, which received great support from movie-goers.
