Transformers the Ride to come to Universal Studios Singapore1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteSentosa, Singapore – A new 3D simulation ride is coming to Universal Singapore next summer, called Transformers The Ride. It is themed to the toys sold by Hasbro and the three movies that were blockbuster hits.
The ride pits the Autobots and the Decepticons in a head-on clash. The riders will be part of a program called N.E.S.T. One of the characters that hasn’t been referenced in any cartoon, toy, or movie, is EVAC, who transforms into the simulation “seat” for the riders. Also featured will be everyone’s favorites, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
The attraction has been advertised as “Live the Movie,” putting the riders into the thick of the battle along with interaction with the Autobots.
The trailer for the attraction reveals that the ride will be built in “Sci-Fi City,” one of the seven “zones” of the park as the trailer puts it. Also included are high level visual effects, high definition 3D video, and one of the most advanced systems to be put into a ride vehicle.
The director of the movies, Michael Bay, is working along with the park as a creative consultant to create this ride. The three films debuted in 2007, 2009, and 2011 with four Academy Award nominations.
Dennis Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa told Travel Blackboard, “The extension of the Transformers movie franchise into a theme park thrill ride is an exciting part of the natural progression.
