Reading Time: < 1 minuteMANILA, Philippines – Director Aureaus Solito’s “Busong (Palawan Fate)” will be screened for the first time in Seoul, Korea this weekend.
“Busong,” which stars Alessandra de Rossi, is the only Filipino film being shown at the Perspectives section of the 5th Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival (CINDI). Considered Seoul’s premiere digital film festival, CINDI is presenting 100 films from 32 countries through August 23.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, executive producer Jong de Castro said the organizers of CINDI contacted them after “Busong” was included as an official selection at the Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival last April.
“They had previously featured Aureaus’ work a few years back and wanted to bring him back and put ‘Busong’ in the Digital Masters section Perspectives, so we agreed. When they released the schedule, we were impressed that in the same section are past and present Cannes winners. It is an honor to be included in the same section as these great filmmakers,” he said.
