FUEL UP Creative Industries Workforce Skills Qualifications Fair1 min read

The annual Creative Industries (CI) WSQ Fair is back ““ this year, the theme is ‘Fuel Up’. The two-day fair will showcase numerous training opportunities to either enter the industries or to sharpen one’s skills and advance one’s career.

The fair features lead-up events like Design Lapis and Project 636, presenting new angles on how one looks at the creative industries. In Project 636, CI WSQ graduates will pitch their best ideas in 6 mins and 36 secounds. Design Lapis is a creative volley competition that challenges participants to think on their feet and harness their arsenal of creative skills in order to triumph.

The WSQ is a national credentialing system that trains and recognises adult workers for competencies they need to stay employable.

The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) works with economic agencies, employers and practitioners in the creative industries to develop the CI WSQ framework. To ensure the effective implementation of the framework, WDA has appointed the CI Manpower Skills and Training Councils (MSTCs) which comprises creative industry veterans and representatives from partner agencies.

This year, the participating training providers, employers and partners come from the following sub-sectors:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Design
  • Media & Communications

Training and career opportunities in these sectors will be showcased through presentations, forums, workshops and demonstrations. Fuel up on palpable creative vibes as participants interact with key industry players and professionals from these industries at the fair.
