This time, Captain Jack Sparrow, played by the charismatic Johnny Depp, embarks on his next big treasure hunt – to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.
Fret not if you have skipped the earlier epics in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, “The Curse of the Black Pearl”, “Dead Man’s Chest” and “At World’s End”.
Although you would get more references to the earlier films if you caught them, you would still be able to understand the story of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”, because it is a brand new movie with a fresh plot and new characters.
For those who may have forgotten, the last installment (“Pirates of The Caribbean: At World’s End”) ended with Jack getting his hands on a map to the ultimate treasure – the Fountain of Youth.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” sees Jack Sparrow looking for his beloved ship, the Black Pearl, only to be tricked by buxom ex-lover Angelica (Penelope Cruz) into joining Blackbeard (Ian McShane) on a quest for the Fountain of Youth.
