Tom Hanks to grace S’pore film event in June1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteSINGAPORE: Two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks will be gracing Singapore’s first international film event, Screen Singapore, this June for the Asia Pacific premiere of his new feature film, “Larry Crowne”.
The dramatic comedy is about an everyday guy’s personal re-invention after he loses his job during the recession. The film is directed, co-written and co-starred by Hanks along with Julia Roberts.
It will premiere at the week-long ScreenSingapore’s closing night gala on June 11 at the newly refurbished Lido Theatre on Orchard Road.
The remaining line-up of stars and films remains unconfirmed, but organisers said the event will open with a Chinese film, and also feature a Bollywood night.
ScreenSingapore also said individual films will get more attention here.
