Reading Time: < 1 minuteCLAD in a blazer and black-rimmed glasses, Sharon Au’s wistfulness for Japan, where she spent the last five-and-a-half years pursuing a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree at Waseda University, was palpable.
At the peak of her popularity, the former actress and host left show business on a MediaCorp scholarship shortly after her 30th birthday.
Having done courses in international politics and law, Sharon has returned to serve out her six-year bond. Last Tuesday, she settled into her first corporate job as Manager, Strategy.
“It’s been very fast paced,” Sharon said, at our interview on Friday. “I basically went into work right away.”
