Reading Time: < 1 minuteGermany’s Nippon Connection 2011 (17 April to 1 May, Frankfurt), which describes itself as the world’s biggest festival of Japanese cinema, will screen more than one hundred features and shorts at its 11th edition later this month.
The event opens with Yazaki Hitoshi’s Sweet Little Lies described by Film Business Asia’s Derek Elley as “a superbly observed light drama about a couple who quietly embark on separate affaires”. Other features by established directors in the main Nippon Cinema section include Kumakiri Kazuyoshi’s Sketches of Kaitan City and Izutsu Kazuyuki’s Hero Show.
