Chinese film event to raise $100,000 for Christchurch1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteA group of Chinese film lovers is holding a event in Auckland this weekend which is hoped to raise $100,000 for Christchurch.
China Lion Film Distribution and Event Cinemas have thousands of dollars worth of flights, accommodation and more up for grabs during a international film screening event which will raise money for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
On this Sunday, the films will be retrospective of the best of Chinese films from the past two years will be held at Highland Park Cinema, Auckland.
Admission to any of the films will be via a “donation” of $10, with all proceeds going towards the earthquake appeal.
There will also be a silent auction with over $15,000 worth of items to be auctioned including four economy return tickets to Hong Kong courtesy of Cathay Pacific and Air New Zealand, valued at over $4000.
