The 5th Osaka Asian Film Festival opens 5 March with Im Sang-soo’s The Housemaid and closes 13 March with Anurag Basu’s Kites.

The Osaka festival, which was relaunched in 2009 with the hiring of experienced Asian film programmer Teruoka Sozo, introduces a competition of recent regional feature films for the first time.
