Reading Time: < 1 minuteOrganized by The Substation and Objectifs: Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, this year’s Singapore Short Film Awards (SSFA) will take place on 6 March 2011, and as a run up to the Awards ceremony, all film entries and nominees will be screened at the Substation Theatre from 28 February to 6 March 2011.
Into its second year, 126 entries were received and 30 have been nominated in various categories such as Best Director, Best Editor, and a new category included this year for Best Experimental.
This year’s Honorary Award goes to Wee Li Lin, whose second film Forever (æˆ‘æ„›ä½ æ„›ä½ æ„›ä½ ) will be slated for its Singapore premiere on 3 March 2011. A screening of Li Lin’s previous short films will also be included in the SSFA screening schedule.
Admission to the film screenings is by donation, while the Awards show is by invitation only.

In conjunction with the SSFA, there will be a film poster exhibition of Singapore Films, dubbed MISE EN SIN, that will take place in the Foyer area and Random Room of The Substation. Organized by SINdie, this is your chance to gawk over 100 film posters from about 60 Singapore filmmakers.
