However, he suggests that the rebate be given across the board to all Malaysian-made films instead of only to those with 60 per cent dialogue in Bahasa Malaysia.
He adds that the rebate should take effect from 2010 instead of 2011 because there was a boom in the local movie industry last year.
The multi-talented Malaysian filmmaker and musician thinks that the budding Malaysian Chinese film industry really needs the support from the government in order to grow.
