Documentary on A-Mei to be broadcast across Asia Monday night1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Biography Channel will broadcast a feature on Taiwanese aboriginal superstar Chang Hui-mei, better known as A-Mei, at 9 p.m. Monday, in several Asian countries, including Singapore and Malaysia.
The show maps the path of the singer’s career, which began 16 years ago, by interviewing people she has worked with, such as her agent, lyrics writers and playwright.
The 38-year-old A-Mei was the first Taiwanese musical artist to be interviewed exclusively by CNN and to make the cover of a Time Magazine special issue.
The Discovery Channel also interviewed A-Mei in a series in 2005 called “Portraits Taiwan.”
