These include world premieres of Prashant Bhargava’s The Kite, Thunska Pansittivorakul’s The Terrorists and Kim Sun’s Self Referential Traverse: Zeitgeist and Engagement.
It also includes prominent festival films from late 2010 including Hi-So and Late Autumn as well as a special screening of Dante Lam’s The Stool Pigeon.
The section’s retrospective unit is a selection of eight films “from the most important creative period of Shibuya Minoru, a director ripe for rediscovery whose society dramas and comedies had an enduring effect on Japanese cinema,” according to the festival.
