Celestial signs double deal in Indonesia1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteChinese-language movie channel Celestial Classic Movies will be broadcast in Indonesia for the first time following a deal between Celestial Pictures and Indonesian satellite pay-TV operator PT Cipta Skynindo (Skynindo).
From this month Skynindo will add Celestial Movies and Celestial Classic Movies to its basic package.
Celestial Classic Movies screens Chinese cinematic gems, primarily from the Celestial’s Shaw Brothers Film Library. These include Kung Fu classics such as One-Armed Swordsman, The Five Deadly Venoms, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (pictured) and classics of other genres including drama, action, Huangmei opera, horror and musicals.
The channel currently screens on platforms in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
