S’porean scores LA awards with sci-fi flick1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIT TOOK a year for a trio of film buffs to produce a sci-fi animation flick that wowed judges at the Los Angeles Movie Awards (Lama) held last month.
The surprise is that the trio – from Singapore, Germany and Israel – have never met.
Singaporean film producer Joyce Hah told my paper that she and her teammates – German professional 3-D artist Dieter Joppich and Israeli musician Lior Ron – worked out the film’s details through online discussions.
Their product, a six-minute animation film called Stormedge: Rise Of The Darkness bagged prizes under the categories of best animation, best animated visuals and best sound design. The film focused on an alien infiltration of Earth.
