Lion and Fox run together on Butcher1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteMongolian director Wuershan’s stylised martial arts thriller The Butcher, The Chef and The Swordsman to be jointly released in North America, Australia and New Zealand by Fox International and recently established distributor China Lion Film Distribution.
The film is set for a day-and-date release on 17 March with China Lion’s partnership with exhibitors putting it in AMC theatres in the US and Toronto and Cineplex theatres for Vancouver.
Butcher, about the journey of a mystical blade as it passes through the hands of three ambitious men, is a co-production between Fox International Productions, Taihe Universal Film Investment Co. Ltd and First Cuts Features Inc.
It was produced by Daniel Yu and Tang Xiru and was executive produced by Wang Wei, Tang Xiru, Shao Yiding, Yang Xinliang and Doug Liman. It premiered last year at the Toronto and Pusan festivals.
