Sundance to broadcast in Taiwan1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteRainbow Media’s Sundance Channel, which was set up by actor Robert Redford, is now available in Taiwan, after the country’s National Communications Commission awarded it a broadcast licence.
It will broadcast in both English and Taiwanese.
Taiwan is home to more than 23 million people, 80% of whom watch cable television. Sundance Channel and WE tv-via a dedicated MEASAT 3a feed-will be available in both HD and SD.
The Sundance channel airs a range of films, documentaries and original programmes, and reaches nearly 40 million households in the US. For its part WE tv reaches more than 77 million homes Across Asia, Sundance also broadcasts in Singapore and South Korea. It joins sister Rainbow channel WE TV, which is already available in Taiwan.
