Bullets takes Aftershock’s opening record1 min read

In July, Feng Xiaogang’s Aftershock, which also opened on a Thursday, made RMB180 million in its opening four days. It ended its run with RMB647.8 million.

Bullets faces competition today with the opening of Feng’s latest film, If You are the One 2 starring Ge You and Shu Qi. The original film made RMB314 million on release in Dec 2008.
The second highest grossing film at China’s box office last week was Chen Kaige’s Sacrifice with RMB37 million. After 16 days in cinemas, it has made RMB184.6 million.
