If confirmed, it would put Bullets within the grasp of Aftershock’s record.
The melodrama made RMB36.2 million ($5.4 million) on its Thursday opening and crossed RMB100 million ($15 million) in its first three days.
Aftershock ended its box office run with RMB647.8 million ($97 million), a record for a local film. If You are the One 2, the next film by its director Feng Xiaogang, opens in China on 22 Dec.
