Taiwan, HK films vie for top prizes in Golden Horse1 min read

“When Love Comes”, directed by Chang Tso-chi of Taiwan, leads the race with 14 nominations, followed by Hong Kong director Teddy Chen’s “Bodyguards and Assassins”, which has nine.
The Golden Horse Awards are styled after the US Academy Awards but are decided by a jury along the lines of the Cannes film festival.
China’s legal drama “Judge” and two Taiwanese independent films, “The Fourth Portrait” and “Seven Days in Heaven”, are also vying for best picture at the gala ceremony in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan.
