FromMovie launches with three-film slate1 min read

The company, which describes itself as “an entertainment group engaging in film and TV investment, production, entertainment integrated marketing and film merchandise business”, is financed by venture capitalist Bob Xu.
The company’s first feature film, which it compares to David Fincher’s The Social Network, is a $3 million adaptation of Chinese bestseller Founder about the launch of a popular website by a young entrepreneur and three of his friends.
Next up is 3-D animation Dim Sum Warrior to be directed by wife-and-husband team Woo Yen Yen and Colin Goh, who previously directed Singapore Dreaming together. FromMovie are looking for Hollywood co-production partners.
