Taiwanese films become focus at New York film festival1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteTwo Taiwanese films, Taipei Exchange and One Day, were the focus at the 2010 CMJ Film Festival in New York City on Thursday.
The office said the signing of the cross-strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) is helping Taiwan’s film industry as Taiwanese films are no longer classified under China’s limit of 50 foreign films.
Taiwan’s representative office in New York said that works of Taiwan’s new generation of film directors are becoming recognized globally.
The office also said Taiwan can be a channel for foreign films to enter China and many film companies are looking to cooperate with Taiwan companies.
