Festival offers film challenge1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival is back, and organizers say it will be bigger and better than ever.
New this year is the 36-hour film challenge, which puts aspiring filmmakers to the test. Along with Indian films, there will be Bollywood dancers, henna tattoos and an Indian tea time.
While teams need to have their own equipment, Ric Edevane, president of the Delaware Independent Filmmakers, said it does not need to be elaborate; a simple camera phone could work.
“(The challenge) is a great exercise for procrastinators who say, ‘oh, well, I don’t have time,’ because this sets a deadline. Either you are in or you’re not,” he said.
