Pinoy indie film to compete in Argentine filmfest1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteFilipino independent film “Chassis” is competing in the 25th Mar del Plata International Film Festival this November 14-21 in Argentina.
The film, starring Jodi Sta. Maria, is about a homeless mother who tries to meet ends in the South Harbor. It also stars Lemuel Pelayo, Evelyn Vargas, Rustica Carpio, Angeli Bayani and Kimberly Fulgar.
Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Chassis” is the first Filipino film to compete in the Argentine film festival. Prizes in the main competition include Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Screenplay.
The Mar del Plata International Film Festival is the only A-list competitive feature festival recognized by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) in Latin America, and the oldest in this category in the Americas.
