‘Crayon’: First Malaysian film to be released in LA1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minute‘Crayon’ a movie produced by a local film maker will become the first ever Malaysian-made movie to be released in Los Angeles, California, United States on Nov 4.
“The location of the movie centres around Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Singapore,” said director Dean A. Burhanuddin.
“This is the first time I produced a movie. Before this I had worked as a script writer for an American studio. I am so happy and proud to release the uniqueness of the movie ‘Crayon’ compared with other movies,” he told reporters after the movie’s premier here Tuesday.
Dean said, about 20 per cent of the proceeds from ticket sales would be donated to orphanages in Malaysia, namely Rumah Ozanam Petaling Jaya, Rumah Kasih Harmoni Sungai Buloh and Nur Hikmah, Selayang.
