Reading Time: < 1 minuteChinese actress Vicki Zhao was crowned Best Actress but it was an appearance by Chinese star Zhang Ziyi that titillated the media.
The ceremony was held at the close of the 19th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers film festival.
Zhang, who had in recent months been hit by scandals including one involving donations for the Sichuan earthquake, later co-hosted a segment of the show and performed a Teresa Teng song, I Only Care For You.
The biennial awards, which are based on popular votes, alternates with the Golden Roosters Awards, which are picked by film experts and dubbed China’s Oscars.
