The mission of the project was “to make a “fun” family film in India, for India, about today’s Indian kids”.
Like all the films at CSAFF, the movie is an independent and producer Soumya Sriraman feels that, “while not Bollywood, we are the perfect film for present day India and we find that the content resonates really well with expat audiences because of how true it rings.”
When asked what defines an independent film, he responded, “Another difficult question that even the North American market struggles to answer — is it the budget, the release pattern, the subject matter — at the core, it is probably a combination of all of those .”
