The World Health Organization offers free treatment for leprosy, but not all governments prioritize leprosy when also fighting against HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, Johns said. “Making an independent documentary for $10,000 is just insane,” he said of the low budget he’ll have for the project. “But it’s kind of now or never.”
