THE FIRST DRAFT is a unique, one-year professional screenwriting development programme, aiming to take you through a process of developing your script and developing your skills as a screenwriter.
We are building up to the call for applications for YEAR 2 (Year One kicked off in March 2010). There will be an information session about the programme, with tutors Kelly Marshall and Tessa Sheridan, on Thursday 30th September at 7.00pm, here at Sinema Old School.
More info on the programme here.
To register, email sandra.bodestyne@britishcouncil.org.sg (cite FIRST in your subject line). You can also read tutor Tessa Sheridan’s memories of growing up on the Thames here in a new post over on the Civic Life website.
Also, check out some of the brilliant films that have been submitted to the Civic Life’s competition WHERE THE HEART IS, organised by First Draft partner British Council, working with National Museum of Singapore and the Singapore International Foundation.
There’s a voting for the best film, which takes place from THIS FRIDAY – the winner gets a Canon EOS 7D. It’s very encouraging to see such strong work from all over Singapore so have a look at the site, and get thinking about who you think should win. And do share the films with your friends.
