Toronto adds Asian dozen1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Toronto International Film Festival has finalized its line-up with the additional of a dozen more Asian films to its World Cinema programme.
It will also host the world premiere of Late Autumn, Kim Tae Yong’s drama starring Chinese actress Tang Wei.
The World Cinema section, which already carries a slew of Asian titles, now also finds room for Feng Xiaogang’s record breaking melodrama Aftershock, Hong Kong director Ann Hui’s lesbian love triangle All About Love, and Tsui Hark’s Detective Dee and The Phantom Flame which will have its world premiere only a few days before in Venice.
Singapore’s very own feature film Sandcastle, directed by Boo Junfeng, has also made the selection.
