Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s winning film secures US release1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteApichatpong Weerasethakul’s Palme d’Or winner Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall his Past Lives has been picked up for US distribution by Strand Releasing.
“We’re thrilled to be working on this film and am so happy to continue our long and on-going relationship with both a colleague and friend that we call Joe,” said Strand’s Marcus Hu in a statement. Strand has released three of Weerasethakul’s previous films including Blissfully Yours, Tropical Malady and Syndromes and a Century. Strand says it plans a release in Spring 2011.
