Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Singapore Film Commission has partnered with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) of America to organise a film production workshop this November for film students.
Led by filmmakers hailing from Hollywood, the programme aims to cover all aspects of film production, from pitching to the business aspects such as marketing and distribution. Included in the line up is Ira Dutchman, chief executive of Emerging Pictures, Ramon Menendez, writer-director of Stand and Deliver and Tom Musca, writer-producer of Stand and Deliver.
Other Guest Speakers include Daniel Yun, CEO of Mediacorp Raintree Pictures, and Stephen Jenner, a TV producer from Australia.
All participants will get a chance to participate in a pitch session to put forward their original film ideas, and win an internship with Mediacorp Raintree Pictures. For more information, visit the official website, or download the full workshop programme here.

Admission Fee: $10/person (includes lunch, breaks + goodie bag)
REGISTRATION
- Film students aged 17 and above can sign up for the workshops.
- All participants will be required to submit a short synopsis of themselves (background in film / film studies) and 1 film idea (concept / area of interest) prior to the workshop. This is intended to ensure participants could be involved in workshop discussions and gained maximum benefits from the topics that are covered in the workshop.
