Going out to all aspiring film makers: The submission deadline for the 5th Singapore Short Cuts showcase is less than 10 days away, so rally up your works and send them in by May 26, 2008. All works should have been made in either 2007 or 2008.

The annual event, organised by the National Museum Cinémathèque, will feature outstanding works by home-bred filmmakers with genres ranging from documentaries to animation and experimental works. Some of the past film makers who have taken part in Singapore Short Cuts include Victric Thng, Eva Tang, Boo Junfeng, Wee Li Lin, Tan Pin Pin and Eric Khoo.

Co-organised by the National Museum of Singapore, The Substation and Singapore Film Commission, Singapore Short Cuts celebrates its fifth year. Screenings of the films will be on Saturdays – July 12, 19, 26 and August 2, 2008. Visit the National Museum website for more information or to download the submission form.
