Sinema Showoff + Objectifs Films return!1 min read
Reading Time: 2 minutesThe 21st Singapore International Film Festival‘s Singapore Panorama loeg wraps up today here at Sinema Old School and tomorrow Sinema’s Showoff programme returns to bring you a slate of fresh new shorts from up-and-coming filmmakers. Kicking off at the usual 7:30pm, Showoff will bring to you four films this month, along with a Q&A after the session.
Tomorrow’s session will see filmmakers Jacen Tan and Daphne Tan in for the first Q&A of April. Watch this space to find out who the special guests are for the other Showoff screenings! The films for the month of April are:
— Jacen Tan’s first film Tak Giu
— Benjamin Tan’s first film A Moment of Silence
— Daphne Tan’s Man With Camera, a documentary about local filmmakers including Nicholas Chee, Randy Ang, Lionel Chok and Jacen Tan
— Heart of Darkness: The Making of a Comedy by Bratina Tay, a making-of documentary of City Sharks.
Sinema Showoff is free to all Sinemaniacs and members of the public who have signed up for the Showoff card, which is also available on site.
In conjuction with this year’s Singapore International Film Festival at Sinema Old School, Objectifs Films presents the past SIFF winners after Sinema Showoff at 9pm. The films are:
– Di (Little Brother) by Michael Kam
– Katong Fugue by Boo Junfeng
– Autograph Book by Wee Li-Lin
– Quietly by Oon Jit Fong
– The Secret Heaven by Sun Koh (pictured above)
Tickets are priced at the usual $5 ($4 for students and senior citizens).
