Asia Factual Forum opens registration1 min read
Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe 2008 Asia Factual Forum opens its registration today for the event later this year in December at River View Hotel in Singapore.
Held over three days from the 7th to 9th of December, the Forum precedes the prestigious Asia Television Forum and forms part of the Asia Media Festival. It will be highlighting factual and documentaries from Asia, and is designed to build relations between commissioning editors and factual content producers. It also aims to act as a networking session between producers from differing regions.
The Asia Factual Forum is co-produced by Canada’s Ballinran Productions and Singapore’s Association of Independent Producers (AIPRO) with the support of Singapore’s Media Development Authority (MDA).
“The Asia Factual Forum, strategically anchored in Singapore, represents a step forward in our development as a centre for factual content,” said Dr Christopher Chia, CEO of MDA. “Singapore is well-poised to lead in Asia’s drive towards factual programming due to our central location in the heart of Asia and our strong tradition in documentary and info-educational programming. Indeed, with an English-speaking population, high literacy levels and solid telecommunications networks, Singapore is one of the very few Asian countries able to produce English-language documentaries, providing international media companies with a very compelling business proposition.”
Registration and more details on the programme are available at the official website.
